Description

ETS-Lindgren's RFD-100 doors are designed for high performance operation up to 40 GHz. The RFD-100 is also designed to accommodate numerous options, including the addition of ferrites and absorbers. ETS-Lindgren's RFD-100 doors are designed for high performance operation. The RFD-100 door system consists of frame and door in two standard sizes, 900 mm x 2100 mm (3 ft x 7 ft) and 1200 mm x 2100 mm (4 tf x 7 ft). The patented hinges allow the final closing movement to be parallel to the door frame, ensuring the RF integrity. The hinges also permit a normal circular swing when the door is fully opened. The RF seal is obtained through four recessed contact fingers sealed by cam followers at both edges of the door. The opening and closing mechanisms are equipped with bearings providing ease of operation. The door can also be designed to accommodate S81, S101, and welded shielding systems. The door can be equipped with an optional pneumatic opening/closing system for easier operation. The pneumatic system releases the RF tight seal allowing easier manual operation of the door. The RFD-100 provides an option for the addition of ferrite and absorber and are designed for an additional load of ferrites and short absorbers (max. 50 kg/m2 or 10.2 lbs/ft2). The RFD-100 can accommodate a maximum length of 400 mm (15.74 in) absorber everywhere, except around the handle area. The rigid inner plate allows the mounting of the ferrites/absorbers directly onto the door while making it possible to still perform maintenance on the door.
