Description

PathScan® Combi is a brightfield and fluorescence slide scanner for digital pathology and FISH analysis allowing fast, flexible and reliable navigation, acquisition, analysis, archiving and transfer of high quality digital images. This scanner can acquire images with low-emission fluorochromes, as well (dual video cameras, monochrome, color). It allows the management of fluorescence preparations for as long as necessary in artificial or natural light without the risk of photobleaching and analyzes individual areas, nuclei and spots or whole preparations, in manual or semiautomatic mode. Its automatic revolving turret offers a choice of 7 different objectives for a wide range of selectable magnifications with high focus precision and a perfect image quality. The digital microscope allows real-time browsing and workflow control from remote workstations. PathScan® Combi can include as option dedicated analysis modules (membranes, nuclei) for tumor analysis with standardized and reproducible evaluation methods. The TMA module (SpotBrowser 4) is also fully integrated and permits the evaluation and scoring of several hundred samples on a single slide. PathScan® Combi performs full-field image matching between brightfield and fluorescence to perform FISH analysis in the same tumor area of a pre-analyzed section. PathScan® Combi is a valuable support for target therapy as well thanks to its dedicated analysis modules: Her-2 FISH, ALK FISH and translocations, FISH spot counting.
