The GTXDetector Kit consists of 15 STR markers specific to X chromosome. This kit can be used to differentiate female profiles especially when complementary markers are needed in complex kinship cases. It is optimised to identify female genotype even in the background of male samples. The GTXDetector multiplex system is optimized to amplify 17 markers. Along with 15 X chromosome specific STR markers and one sex discrimination, one autosomal STR marker is added to rule out sample mix-up. These loci are amplified with fluorescently labeled primers allowing fragment detection in 5-dye systems. This kit is compatible with Applied Biosystems™ 3500/3500xL and 3130/3130xl platforms for detection and analysis. GTXDetector performance has been tested on more than 400 samples.
