If placing a Glidewell HT™ Implant with a diameter ≥ 3.5 mm, this Shaping Drill is used in sequence to widen the osteotomy to the matching diameter. Each Shaping Drill is length-specific to match the prescribed implant length. Use widening drill diameters only as needed and in proper succession to avoid over-preparation. Increase osteotomy depth sequentially, beginning with shorter drill lengths and proceeding until sufficient depth is achieved with the final drill. Select the appropriate drill based on bone density and planned implant size. With copious irrigation, drill to planned depth. The final drill should correspond to the implant diameter to help achieve high primary stability on placement.
