The KaiBiLiTM Extended NTM is intended for the collection, transport and preservation of clinical specimens to be analyzed by nucleic acids. For stabilizing and preserving DNA/RNA. Introduction The KaiBiLiTM Extended NTM is intended for the collection, transport and preservation of clinical specimens to be analyzed by nucleic acids. It denatures the pathogens such as virus and bacteria, and then stabilizes and preserves RNA/DNA from the pathogens for prolonged time periods and is compatible with commercial nucleic acid extraction kits. Clinical specimens stored and transported in KaiBiLiTM Extended NTM can be processed, using standard clinical laboratory operating procedures, for the detection of nucleic acids of viruses and bacteria with molecular amplification assays. The primary purpose of nucleic acids amplification techniques is to screen for a wide range of infectious diseases, and the integrity of the nucleic acids from clinical specimens during transport and storage is critical. KaiBiLiTM Extended NTM contains reagents that are able to disrupt protein structure such as denaturant, surfactant and disulfide bond reductant, therefore it prevents microbial proliferation, thus KaiBiLiTM Extended NTM is not intended to be used for culture based techniques.
