Braided and Coated Polyglactin 910-Fast Absorbable Sterile Synthetic Absorbable Surgical Suture
Features of Trusynth Fast
Coated and Braided Polyglactin 910 (fast absorbable)
High initial tensile strength
Soft and smooth feel for easy passage through the tissue with minimal trauma
Good knotting properties
Excellent handling and smooth tie down
Trusynth Fast has a fast and predictable absorption rate, and provides wound support upto 7 days and gets absorbed by hydrolysis quicker than polyglactin-910 suture (within 28 – 42 days of implantation).
Applications
Skin closure, particularly in paediatric surgery
Episiotomy
Circumcision
Closure of oral mucosa
Due to its rapid loss of tensile strength, Trusynth Fast suture should not be used where extended approximation of tissue under stress is required or where wound support beyond 7 days is required. It should not be used for ligation, and in cardiovascular and neurological tissues.
