Characteristics

Hernia type
abdominal, inguinal, ventral, incisional

Description

Better tissue in-growth and lower foreign body reaction Biologically inert Gives strong support for long term Excellent tensile strength and pliability Knitted by a process which interlinks each fiber junction and provides for elasticity in both directions Bi-directional elastic property allows adaptation to various stresses encountered in the body Mesh can be cut into any desired shape or size without unravelling It is indicated for different types of hernia repair which require usage of a non-absorbable reinforcing material. It elicits an inflammatory reaction in tissues, which is followed by the deposition of a thin fibrous layer of tissue, which can grow through the interstices of the mesh, thus incorporating the mesh into the adjacent tissue. It is neither absorbed nor is subject to degradation or weakening by the action of tissue enzymes. Applications Hernia repair including inguinal hernia, incisional hernia and ventral hernia Abdominal wall deficiencies which require usage of a non-absorbable reinforcing material Technical Details Prepared from knitted filaments of extruded monofilament polypropylene Pore size: 2 mm – 3.5 mm Thickness: 0.65 mm to 0.75 mm GSM: 40 to 70 Burst strength: NLT 7 KGF Sterilized by ethylene oxide Shelf life of 5 years Range Length: 1 cm to 30 cm Width: 1 cm to 30 cm
