Overview
Designed by Charles and Ray Eames and first introduced in 1960 as the Eames Walnut Stool, the Eames Turned Stool functions as either a stool or a small table. The slightly depressed ends provide a comfortable seat while remaining shallow enough to balance a cup. Its sculptural geometry and woodturned craftsmanship make it suitable for lobbies, living rooms and a variety of interior settings.

Design story
The balance between form and function is central to the design: depressions at each end are deep enough for seating yet shallow enough to hold a cup. Originally produced in walnut in 1960, the range was later expanded to include white oak and ebonised ash and was renamed in 2023 to emphasize the woodturning process used in its manufacture.
