This mask consists of five layers. It includes "Zetta(TM) nanofiber filter" and "antiviral non-woven filter". These filters are so functionable that trap particles like viruses and decrease the number of viruses.
1. Zetta(TM) nanofiber filter
This filter is invented by Prof Emer. Tanioka, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan.
This filter can trap more than 99% of particles of 100 nm. The size of virus is generally 100 nm. This filter traps particles by van der Waals force, although other general filters used in medical masks trap by electrostatic force. Electrostatic force of mask is gradually decreasing, but van der Waals force is never decreasing by using the mask.
As thinner fiber is, as stronger van der Waals force is. The diameter of its nanofiber is less than 400 nm, which is one of the thinnest fibers all over the world.
2. Antiviral nonwoven filter
This filter can decrease the number of specific viruses on the fiber. It has more than 99% viral infectivity reduction rate. It contains an anionic functional group which reacts to specific viruses.
3. Silk fabric
This mask use silk fabrics for surface. Silk enables to be gentle and low-irritate on your skin and it is breathable. Beautiful traditional pattern, “Ichimatsu” (plaid) on the surface is weaved.
