Description

KRAS gene is a common oncogenic gene in human tumors. About 35-40% of k-ras mutations in colorectal cancer, mainly occurs at 12,13 codon. KRAS non-mutant patients benefit from monoclonal antibodies (Cetuximab) and panizumab (panitumumab) targeting EGFR signaling pathways. [Intended use] This kit is used to detect hot spot mutations in KRAS genes in colorectal cancer, Qualitative detection of codon 12(G) in exon 2 of KRAS gene the four hotspot mutation sites of 12D (35 g >A), g 12DA (35 g >AC), g 12DV (35 g >AT)), and 13 codon (38 g >A) were identified. [Product Advantage] The National Cancer Society of the United States (NCCN) Guidelines for Clinical Practice in Collectable Cancer (V1.2015) clearly states :(1) All patients with metastatic colorectal cancer should be tested for KRAS genetic status; (2) Treatment with EGFR inhibitors (e.g. apital and panizumab) is recommended only in KRAS wild-type patients. Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Treatment of Colorectal Cancer (2) issued by the Ministry of Health Detection of the genetic status KRAS tumor tissue to determine the appropriate treatment options
