Product OverviewThe EK-8400 portable electronic spine measurement instrument is a handheld, non-invasive, radiation-free device for quantitative assessment of spinal alignment and mobility. Using geodetic inclination and spatial positioning technologies, it provides real-time angular measurements of spinal curvature, postural asymmetries and segmental mobility in both static and dynamic conditions.
Diseases treatedSpinal deformities such as scoliosis (lateral curvature), kyphosis (increased thoracic curvature) and lordosis (lumbar anterior tilt) can be congenital or acquired (poor posture, neuromuscular or structural disorders). These conditions may cause chronic pain, impaired cardiopulmonary function, neurological compression and reduced mobility. Early detection and regular monitoring support clinical decision-making and rehabilitation planning.
Measuring Host / Core Technology- Measures six major spinal regions across 14 postures
- Touchscreen operation with guided voice prompts
- Spatial dynamic vector positioning technology for accurate orientation data
- Pain-free, non-invasive, radiation-free measurements
- Handheld, battery-powered and mobile use
- Objective measurements independent of measurement location
Measuring Items- Trunk tilt angle
- Kyphosis (thoracic curvature)
- Lateral curvature — cervical, thoracic, lumbar regions
- Flexion/extension range — cervical, thoracic, lumbar regions
- Axial rotation angle — cervical, thoracic, lumbar regions
- Head balance
- Shoulder balance
- Pelvic/lumbar balance
