The intelligent tensile tester PARAM® XLW is a versatile test frame for measuring mechanical performance of materials and components (tension, peel, tear, heat-seal, shear, etc.) with advanced data acquisition and analysis.

Test principle
The specimen is clamped between two grips and the grips move relative to each other. Force is measured by the load cell on the driven grip and displacement is recorded by the integrated position sensor; force and displacement changes are collected to calculate tensile strength, tear resistance, elongation and other performance indices.
