The XLW (PC) automatic tensile tester is designed to determine force-related properties of flexible packaging materials and similar samples. It offers multiple test modes, long stroke capability and integrated software for test control and data analysis.

Principle

• Pre-conditioned specimen is clamped between two grips which move relatively during the test.
• Force is recorded by a load cell fixed to the driven grip; displacement is recorded by an embedded displacement transducer.
• Tensile strength, tear strength and elongation are calculated from recorded force and displacement data.
