C860H Integrated Residue on Ignition Testing System is designed for determination of residue on ignition and ash content by the Gravimetric Method and meets standards for pharmacopoeia, pharmaceutical packaging, chemical reagents and food safety. It is suitable for residue on ignition and ash testing of pharmaceuticals, pharmaceutical packaging materials, foods, food contact materials (FCMs) and chemical reagents.
Key Characteristics- Traceable data
- Fully automatic gripper capable of rapid moving and weighing of 25 test cups.
- Dual-separate-chamber design separating ignition and weighing to prevent high-temperature/high-humidity influence on the balance.
- Imported touch electronic scale (Germany) with repeatability up to 0.05 mg.
- Visual scale design; data records are traceable.
- Quick-disassembly self-calibration scale for convenient measurement.
- Safe & compliant
- Integrated design combining muffle furnace, desiccator and analytical balance into one compact system.
- Testing process strictly complies with relevant pharmacopeia and food standards.
- Rapid liquid cooling system enabling room-temperature weighing.
- Independent electrical control system for safe operation.
- Intelligent control
- 12.1" medical-grade touch screen; instrument can operate independently without a PC.
- Desktop instrument host design to save bench space.
- Automatic sequence: ignition, drying, cooling and room-temperature weighing.
- Equipped with multiple sensors and audible/visual reminders.
- Network port for remote control and firmware upgrades.
- Professional software meeting GMP requirements for data traceability.
- Multi-level user authority management configurable on demand.
- Electronic signature designed in accordance with 21 CFR Part 11.
Testing PrinciplesWeigh 1.0–2.0 g (or the prescribed amount) of sample into a pre-ignited crucible and record the mass accurately; ignite gently until carbonization, cool, add 0.5–1 mL sulfuric acid if specified and remove vapors by heating, then ignite at 700–800 °C until complete ashing. Cool in a desiccator and weigh to constant mass. The final residue after ignition is reported as the residue on ignition.
Test Standard Compliance- Pharmacopoeia and related pharmaceutical production and packaging standards (including YBB00012002-2015, YBB00342002-2015, YBB00262005-2015).
- GB/T 5009.4, GB 31604.6 and other standards for food and food contact materials.
- GB/T 9741 and related standards for determination of residue on ignition of chemical reagents.
Applications- Basic applications: Pharmaceuticals — determination of residue on ignition and ash content for various pharmaceutical products.
- Extensive applications: Pharmaceutical packaging materials — testing residue on ignition/ash of composite films, bags, bottles, rubber stoppers and caps.
- Foods — determination of residue on ignition and ash content of various food matrices.
- Food contact materials — determination of residue on ignition of various FCMs.
- Chemical reagents — determination of residue on ignition for a range of chemical reagents.
