OverviewThe C870M Integrated Loss-on-Drying Testing System uses a gravimetric method and is manufactured to comply with pharmacopoeias and food/chemical testing standards. It is intended for automated determination of loss-on-drying and moisture content in pharmaceutical, food and chemical samples.
Product FeaturesPrecise, traceable and convenient measurement- Independent dual‑chamber design separates drying and weighing to prevent high‑temperature effects on the balance.
- Automatic sample weight determination reduces operator influence.
- Optional German-imported touchscreen balance with repeatability to 0.05 mg; standard balance 0.1 mg.
- Visualized balance interface and traceable measurement data.
- Internal calibration balance allowing quick disassembly and maintenance.
Safe and compliant: standardized processes for safer operation- Automatic test‑cup lid opening/closing for compliant handling.
- Automatic temperature adjustment to ensure true room‑temperature weighing.
- Fully enclosed, zero‑leakage test chamber to prevent hazardous gas escape.
- Nitrogen circulation and discrete electrical control for dual safety protection.
- Sensors with audible and visual alarms for operational safety.
Intelligent and efficient: fully automated processes- Fully automatic gripper handles rapid movement of up to 12 test cups.
- Bidirectional rotation control and adjustable number of rotating cups simplify cup filling.
- Automatic liquid cooling operations (fill/drain/level detection) reduce manual intervention.
- Drying, cooling and room‑temperature weighing operate automatically without human intervention.
- 10.1" medical‑grade touchscreen enables standalone host operation.
- Desktop host design saves bench space and adapts to different lab layouts.
- Embedded network port supports remote control and firmware upgrades.
- Professional software suite supports GMP traceability and optional 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
- Multi‑level user access control with configurable permissions and electronic signature support.
Testing principleMix the sample thoroughly (reduce crystals to < 2 mm if needed). Take approximately 1 g or the specified mass, place into a test cup dried to constant weight and weigh accurately. Unless otherwise specified, dry at 105 ℃ to constant weight. Calculate loss‑on‑drying from the mass loss relative to the sample mass.
Reference standards- USP, EP, BP, JP, ChP and related pharmacopeias.
- GB 5009.3‑2016 and other food testing standards.
- GB/T 6284, JIS K 0068 and other chemical testing standards.
Applications- Pharmaceuticals: Determination of loss‑on‑drying and moisture content for API, excipients and finished products.
- Food: Moisture and loss‑on‑drying testing for raw and processed foods.
- Chemicals: Loss‑on‑drying testing for chemical products and intermediates.
