Description

Luxel+ dosimeter badges measure radiation exposure due to X-ray, gamma and beta radiation with optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) technology. These dosimeters are durable and are unaffected by heat, moisture and pressure when the original packaging isn’t compromised. Because of the sealant, dosimeter badges may be used for up to a year. Luxel+ is found in more than 80% of hospitals across the country where Radiation Safety Officers have come to rely on its stability, sensitivity and precision. Organizations that use Luxel+ badges for their radiation safety program receive a Radiation Dosimetry Report the provides the legal dose of record information for participants wearing radiation monitoring dosimeters. A report is generated each time a user returns dosimeter badges to LANDAUER for analysis. Luxel+ enhances the best features of optically stimulated luminescense (OSL) technology. Luxel+ exclusive state-ofthe-art technology and advanced design features have set the new standard for the most comprehensive radiation. Luxel+ is an integrated, self-contained packet that comes preloaded, incorporating a thin strip of AI2O3:C (aluminum oxide) sandwiched within a multi-element filter pack that is heat sealed within a laminated, light-tight paper wrapper.The optional neutron detector is a CR-39 (allyl diglycol carbonate) based, solid-state nuclear track detector. It is not sensitive to x, gamma or beta radiation, and is incorporated into the Luxel+ dosimeter in an integrative, one-piece design.
