Overview
Leica Biosystems PERMAFLEX and PERMAFLEX Plus are adhesive microscope slides featuring a newly designed frosted print area (patent pending). These printable slides are validated for ink-jet and thermal slide printers and are available in five color-coded variants to support sample identification while maintaining scanner readability, chemical resistance and consistent H&E staining with minimal background.

Performance validation
Validation testing encompassed 3,699 slides across all five colors on both ink-jet and thermal printers. Slides were evaluated for resistance to DI water, xylene, d-limonene, Clearene, ethanol, H&E stain, chromic acid, ER Procedure reagents and methanol, demonstrating suitability for routine histology workflows.

Printer compatibility
Internally validated to operate reliably with Leica IP S ink-jet printers, Perma S thermal printers and ThermoFisher Slidemate printers.
