Description

MagPlex® Monitoring Microspheres are magnetic polystyrene beads that aid in monitoring assay and instrument performance. They provide insight into factors impacting target median fluorescent intensity (MFI) values, including instrument fluctuations and user error. MagPlex Monitoring Microspheres are available in two formats: MagPlex RP1 Monitor beads produce fluorescence detected in region 45 and the RP1 channel of all xMAP® instruments. MagPlex RP2 Monitor beads produce fluorescence detected in region 222 and the RP2 channel of the xMAP® INTELLIFLEX DR-SE System. MagPlex Monitoring Microspheres offer: Increased confidence in your results: Monitor well-to-well assay performance for errors, ensuring each individual well has not been impacted by external factors. Broad application areas: These microspheres can be incorporated into various assay formats, including proteomic and genomic applications. The ability to pinpoint errors quickly: MFI values generated using these microspheres can eliminate instrument and user errors as a source of unexpected results. Workflow Step 1 After assay validation, incorporate MagPlex® Monitor beads into the assay bead mix. Perform assay steps as normal. Step 2 Analyze each sample well, containing both the assay and monitoring beads, on an xMAP® instrument. Step 3 Compare results to validated assay thresholds to verify there were no user errors or instrument malfunctions
