Product overviewID SCAN™ is a semi-automatic bench that measures, automatically and without mechanical retooling, bore diameter and the internal profile of glass bottles on a sample basis.
Versions- ID SCAN™ CE: for use at the cold-end, in QC laboratories or production environments.
- ID SCAN™ HE: for use at the hot-end before annealing; includes features to withstand hot-end conditions and to measure non-tempered glass bottles.
DescriptionThe bottle is manually loaded; the measurement cycle is fully automatic. A single-contact tactile bore gauge mounted on a rotating stage that can move vertically performs measurements.
Measurable characteristics- Bore diameter at one or more programmable depths (no limit on the number of diameters to be measured).
- Internal profile in the vertical direction with graphical representation.
Benefits- Accurate: single-contact tactile bore gauge for high-precision measurements.
- Comprehensive: measures diameters at multiple depths and provides a visual representation of the bore shape; supplies a graphic of diameter variation across the scanned area.
- Flexible: no mechanical retooling required between articles.
- MES compatible: integrates with common Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g. Vertech SIL™ and others). ID SCAN™ receives article recipe data from the MES and sends mould-related measurement results back automatically; no operator programming needed on ID SCAN™.
- Simple to use.
