Description

Overview
The Ixyon XP is a professional multi‑wavelength therapeutic laser system for physiotherapy, rehabilitation and sports medicine. It integrates six selectable wavelengths, multiple emission modes and advanced safety/temperature management to support a wide range of clinical indications and treatment depths.

Wavelengths and clinical effects
  • 650 nm – superficial to mid-depth absorption; useful for epithelial healing and antibacterial support.
  • 780 nm – haemoglobin interaction promoting ATP-related processes; supportive of neural tissue regeneration.
  • 810 nm – stimulates ATP production; indicated for muscle and tendon repair.
  • 905 nm – improves cellular oxygen availability and supports endogenous healing mechanisms.
  • 980 nm – primarily absorbed by water; acts on thermo‑ and mechanoreceptors; with E²C mode for rapid analgesic effects.
  • 1064 nm – deep penetration, directed energy delivery for analgesia, inflammation control and deep metabolic activation.

Power, emission modes and configurability
Average power up to 50 W and peak power up to 100 W. Configurable from low‑energy LLLT settings to high‑power protocols for deeper tissues. Fourteen preset emission modes include Continuous (CW), Pulsed, Super‑pulsed, Burst trains, Single pulse and anti‑inflammatory modes. Patented stochastic modes E²C and PBM and the Lambda Wave Creator enable wavelength mixing and per‑wavelength mode customization. User profiles and custom combinations can be saved.

Advanced temperature control and safety
Integrated tissue temperature measurement modulates output to maintain predefined thermal thresholds, with automatic stop and alarms at critical values. Vobulated thermal control and safety features such as an applicator safety button and magnetic attachments ensure controlled and safe treatments.

ScanX module and automation
The ScanX module enables automated THEAL Therapy sessions with built‑in safety and thermal control. It supports orthogonal treatments via an articulated arm and dual conical applicators with integrated temperature monitoring.

Handpiece and applicators
Ergonomic Light Blade XP handpiece with Finger Switch and polychromatic LED status. A range of applicators (10 types) addresses diverse clinical needs: IR compact, IR large, Spheric XP (compact/large), Collimated, Fixed focus, Aurix, Sapphire, Zoom‑Focusable, ENT Physio, XP Spheric micro. Specific applicators offer tissue temperature control options.

Software, protocols and user interface
MecOS OMNIA (MecOS 5.0 OMNIA) with 10.1" colour IPS HD touchscreen provides real‑time monitoring, per‑wavelength parameter control, favourites and tissue temperature display. Library includes ~90 interactive therapeutic protocols and >150 pathologies with phase‑based protocols. Protocol editor allows custom protocols up to 5 phases with full parameter control.

Clinical modes and applications
Five effect‑oriented modes: Bio‑stimulant, Analgesic, Anti‑inflammatory, Anti‑edema and Decontracting. Additional functions include Effect Finder and Tissue Target System to support clinical decision making.
