Medela Solo™ Hands-free single electric breast pump is a compact, wearable solution for occasional hands‑free milk expression. The pump unit pairs with the Medela Hands‑free Collection Cup, an anatomically shaped, ultra‑light cup designed for discreet in‑bra use and simple cleaning (three cup parts).

How it works
Pump vacuum is delivered via tubing from the pump unit to the Hands‑free Collection Cup. The applied vacuum expresses milk into the cup; after pumping, transfer expressed milk from the cup into a milk‑safe bottle or storage container. The wearable cup is not intended for long‑term milk storage.

Care and cleaning
The Hands‑free Collection Cup should be boiled for 10 minutes before first use. Wash all cup parts after every use (hand wash or top‑rack dishwasher). Sanitise once per day (boil for 10 minutes or use recommended microwave sanitising method). Do not rinse or submerge pump unit or internal tubing; wipe exterior of pump and tubing if needed. Do not store milk in the pump cup; transfer expressed milk to a milk‑safe container after pumping.

Usage notes
Start with the stimulation phase and switch to expression once milk flow is observed. Pump at the highest comfortable suction (Maximum Comfort Vacuum). Continue until the breast feels well drained and milk flow has stopped rather than following a fixed time. The wearable cup holds up to 150 ml and is designed to fit most breast shapes and nursing bras; avoid full forward‑leaning or vigorous exercise while wearing the cup to prevent spillage.
