In order to protect the entire dwelling, it is recommended to install MediaPure UF filters directly at the rising main as it enters the home. Thanks to filtration technology developed in the medical field, MediaPure UF filters with ultrafiltration membrane (MediSulfone®) guarantee the highest levels of performance in terms of retention of bacteria, viruses and endotoxins. This means that a single filtration station is able to supply purified water to each supply point within the home. For this application, installation of a filter array is recommended. The filtration systems are easy to install and replace, and solve issues relating to transportation, storage and disposal of bottled water. They do not use electricity and do not waste water like reverse osmosis systems do. They are also suitable for the filtration of well water, and the 5-nanometre pore size of the membranes also ensures excellent performance in terms of microparticle retention (including microplastics). The MediaPure UF type filter, in the primary 10” and 20” versions, is suitable for containers with 222 O-Ring type filter connection. The filters can be supplied in flat base (FLAT) version, with fin spacer (FIN), or with connection to washing device (FLUSH). Within 2023 a new generation of filters (Graphil) will incorporate the membrane filtration with the adsorption properties offered by graphene to filter out emerging contaminants such as pharmaceuticals and PFAS (harmful perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances), in response to the requirements of the new directive on the quality of water intended for human consumption (2020/2184 EU).
