Description

Overview
Hb NEXT is a reversed‑phase cation‑exchange HPLC analyzer designed for precise quantification of HbA1c, HbA2, HbF and characterization of major hemoglobin variants. The system supports two analysis modes (Variant mode for routine HbA1c; Thalassemia mode for hemoglobinopathy screening) and three selectable working methods to match laboratory workflows.

Key features
  • Fully automated reversed‑phase cation‑exchange HPLC combining accurate quantification and variant detection with high throughput.
  • Two analysis modes using the same column and reagent containers: Variant mode (HbA1c) and Thalassemia mode (hemoglobinopathies). Mode switching is operator‑controlled and does not require column or reagent change.
  • No sample preparation required; closed‑tube sampling for operator safety.
  • Long column lifetime (≥ 6000 tests).
  • Loader options: 50 or 110 sample tubes, both with STAT capability.
  • Reagent duplicate loading with automatic switching and lot compatibility for eluents and column.

Full traceability, flexibility and automation
  • Automatic sample type recognition with two rack versions: whole blood or pre‑hemolysed; supports anemic samples.
  • Automatic sample identification by tube rotation and internal barcode scanning.
  • Sample mixing by tube inversion.
  • Semi‑automated preparation of calibrators, controls and pre‑hemolysed samples.
  • Reagent identification and traceability via QR code reading.
  • Results traceable to the IFCC reference method and reported in IFCC (mmol/mol) and NGSP (%).

User friendly with extended autonomy
  • No column or reagent change required when switching modes.
  • Minimal operator intervention; no daily maintenance routine.
  • Closed‑tube sampling enhances operator safety.
  • Extended autonomy through duplicate reagent loading and automatic management.
  • Loader options: 50 or 110 samples plus STAT.
