Description

Overview
EasyWarm is a non-sterile, single-use active self-warming patient blanket intended for perioperative patient warming. Each blanket is individually vacuum-packed; warming pads activate and generate heat when exposed to air.

Indication
  • Perioperative use in hospitals. EasyWarm® helps reduce intraoperative and postoperative hypothermia.

Instructions for use
  • Remove the blanket from the vacuum pouch by tearing at the pre-cut tab.
  • Open and unfold the blanket completely.
  • Allow approximately 30 minutes for the warming pads to activate and the blanket to warm.
  • Place the blanket on the patient with the warming pads facing up (correct side indicated by the marking "THIS SIDE UP").
  • Do not place the blanket on the patient’s face; do not tuck the blanket under the patient or under extremities; do not place the blanket under the patient. The anaesthetised patient’s hands, arms and limbs should not be placed on the blanket.
  • Do not use fixation belts, adhesive tape, straps or additional bedding on top of the blanket. Do not add extra weight or pressure over the blanket. When accessing the patient, turn or slide the blanket rather than folding it over itself.
  • Maximum continuous use duration: 10 hours.

Precautions
  • Do not use on patients with known hypersensitivity to the product materials.
  • Avoid direct skin contact in areas with bruising, swelling or frostbite; monitor skin response clinically.
  • Warming pads are magnetic and not X‑ray translucent — remove the blanket before MRI or X‑ray imaging.
  • Heat from the blanket may increase delivery from transdermal drug systems (patches).
  • Do not reuse. Reuse may reduce performance and create a risk of cross-contamination.

Warnings
  • The blanket is non-sterile. Take appropriate precautions, if necessary, to protect the sterile field.
