Orthopedic simulator for training in osteosynthesis and stabilization of equine forelimb fractures.
The anatomical model of the left equine forelimb from Nacional Ossos was developed to meet the needs of instructors, students, and veterinarians working in equine orthopedics and traumatology. Ideal for hands-on training, workshops, courses, and distance learning, this simulator allows for realistic practice of surgical approaches and fracture fixation from the distal radius to the distal interphalangeal (DIP) joint.
With a detailed anatomical structure, cortical and cancellous layers, and representation of the major ligaments, the model enables the practice of drilling, reduction, positioning, and fixation using real surgical instruments and commercially available implants.
