SummaryThe intelligent Nurse Call System for busy care environments.
- Easy to deploy and use
- Ensures the safety of residents and staff
- Improves operational efficiency and care quality
OverviewD-SERVER is a centralized Nurse Call System built for high-demand care facilities. The system communicates with peripherals via radio or TCP/IP and can be commissioned on an existing local network without an internet connection. Its reliability is proven in large-scale projects with thousands of connected accessories. New features are delivered continuously to address evolving care requirements.
Functionality and alarm handlingAlarms are routed to appropriate recipients based on configuration, schedules and priority. A caregiver accepting an alarm can record presence and perform visit tasks; reminders can be enabled to ensure accepted alarms result in a physical visit. Staff can send assistance or emergency alarms via dedicated buttons. Both pager-based and voice solutions are supported; two-way voice is available when used with the carephone D-CALL II. An optional built-in SIP server is preconfigured and optimized for D-CALL II.
Positioning, access and zone managementPositioning via D-POS II provides location accuracy. D-SERVER can alert staff when a user enters restricted zones and manage door access rights. In case of fire, the system can unlock doors for evacuation and notify configured groups.
Web interface, security and administrationThe multilingual web interface supports user-based rights and simplifies disabling users, adding equipment, locating users and downloading logs without deep technical skills. Some accessories can be configured directly from the web interface. All changes are logged and general logs are retained for up to two years. HTTPS secures the web interface; encrypted peripheral communication is supported via the NIPS protocol. Configurable security functions monitor incorrect login attempts and react per configuration.
Protocols and connectivityD-SERVER supports multiple radio communication options (D-TECT IP commonly used) and can use D-CALL II as a transceiver over IP. The unit includes two serial ports for connecting D-TECT SERIAL via D-BOX over RS-485. Supported protocols include ESPA 4.4.4, ESPA over IP and SCAIP (for forwarding alarms to external alarm centers as configured). Backup and restore of configuration, system settings and logs can be automated.
Monitoring, alerts and presentationPeripherals are monitored for status, with low-battery and device-failure alerts. Alerts can be sent to technical teams or specified recipients. Optional add-ons such as Nurse View provide configurable alarm overviews and maps with adjustable color, size, sound and filters; these can be shown on large corridor displays.
