Description

Overview
Nicfa Airflow Hybrid is an air filtration system engineered for hybrid operating rooms. It is designed to integrate with ceiling-mounted single‑plane and biplane angiography systems to deliver uniform laminar flow, controlled recirculation and dynamic environmental management.

Integration with angiography systems
Structure and mounting are engineered to accommodate the movement and support infrastructure of ceiling-mounted angiography machines without interference. Configurations match ceiling-mounted single-plane and ceiling-mounted biplane Philips angiography platforms.

Key structural elements
  • Anodized aluminum mixing cabin (plenum) located in the non-sterile area: extruded anodized aluminum profile treated by electrochemical processes, with filter confinement guide and PVC gasket.
  • Modular filter housing grille: provides dimensional flexibility for integration with surgical light compartments, probe and particle sensor housings, and for optimizing filtering surface; enables mechanical compression of H14 absolute filters with double gasket.
  • H14 absolute filters with double seal: mechanically compressed by a perimeter compression grid to ensure a double seal and high filtration safety.


Air distribution
Post-filtration air is distributed evenly through a perforated aluminum equalizing mesh painted RAL9003, ensuring continuity and stability of laminar flow across the sterile area.

Recirculation unit
High-performance recirculation unit for configurable installations and quiet operation. Main features include:
  • EC motorized fan unit (soundproofed)
  • Suction pre-filter
  • Side primary air inlet
  • Soundproofed ducting
  • Motorized damper
  • Configurable with 1 or 2 motors; can be installed attached to the cabinet or remotely via soundproofed ducts


Control and automation
Local touch panel provides real-time adjustment of airflow rate. The panel communicates with environmental sensors to enable dynamic, precise control of airflow and room conditions.

Modularity and variants
The Airflow Hybrid line is scalable and adaptable to room layout and clinical requirements. Available configurations include Nicfa Airflow Hybrid S (for ceiling-mounted single-plane angiography) and Nicfa Airflow Hybrid B (for ceiling-mounted biplane angiography).
