Freewheel - is an accessory that is easily mounted on the wheelchair's footrest as shown in the image. It dramatically increases accessibility for the wheelchair on surfaces such as lawns, snow-covered parking lots, paths, gardens, curbs, etc. It is intended for use outdoors. The wheelchair's length increases by 46 cm when Freewheel is mounted. The assembly and disassembly of Freewheel is very easy and can be done by the user himself sitting in the wheelchair. Not intended as sports equipment or to run at high speeds. The weight of Freewheel is 2,3 kg. An attachment to hang the Freewheel on the backrest of the wheelchair when it´s not in use is also included. (Does not fit Panthera X) Panthera wheelchairs must have a reinforced footrest or Bambino, a footrest with a Freewheel -kit mounted. The manufacturer now can offer variants of the Freewheel, adapted for high mounted footrest, where it before was
impossible to use Freewheel. The measures state the height, in cm, between the floor and the top of the footrest.
