Description
AluBurn is a soft, low-adherent wound dressing composed of a hydrophilic absorbent nonwoven fleece laminated to an aluminized polyethylene net that forms the wound contact layer. The dressing is designed for atraumatic contact with healing tissue while allowing exudate passage.

Features

• Aluminized polyethylene net:
  • Functions as a non-adherent contact layer that minimizes trauma to newly formed tissue.
  • Permeable to wound exudate, reducing the risk of maceration.
• Hydrophilic absorbent fleece for fluid management
• Soft and conformable to body contours
• Permeable to air and water vapor

Indications

• Thermal and chemical burns
• Donor and recipient sites in skin grafting
• Abrasions and minor cuts
• First aid and emergency wound care
• Post-operative protection of surgical wounds and incisions
• Fixation and protection around catheters, cannulas and tracheostomy tubes

Contraindications
There are no absolute contraindications, but do not use on patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the product.

Precautions

• Reuse may increase the risk of infection or cross-contamination
• Not recommended for heavily exuding wounds due to potential tissue maceration
• Apply to clean, dry skin to ensure adequate adhesion of secondary fixation
• Dispose of as contaminated medical waste

How to use

• Open the pouch using aseptic technique and remove the dressing
• Place the aluminized contact side directly on the wound
• Secure with a secondary dressing or fixation tape
