Product SummaryAntimicrobial absorbent, gentle fixation dressing for I.V. catheters and cannulas.
Product InfoAbsoClear® I.V dressings use AbsoClear® gel technology with chlorhexidine (CHG) to secure catheters, tubing and other access devices. The AbsoClear® gel is a water-clear hydrogel based on an ionic polymer containing chlorhexidine and glycerol. The gel is provided as an island pad on a PU film backing with hypoallergenic adhesive, offering a soft contact layer with high absorption capacity.
Features- Highly absorbent hydrogel layer for exudate management.
- In vitro bacteriostatic and fungistatic activity demonstrated up to 7 days.
- Tacky contact layer adheres to skin, reducing the need for secondary fixation tapes or films.
- Designed for atraumatic removal without painful residues on skin.
Indications- Fixation and protection of cannulas and intravascular catheters.
Contraindications- Known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine.
How to Use- Open the pouch using aseptic technique.
- Remove the central window with the two fixation strips, if present.
