Product overview
Pharmacool is a single-use instant cold pack intended for short-term topical cold therapy. Activation produces an immediate cooling effect lasting typically 20–30 minutes depending on pack size, for targeted relief of pain and swelling.

How it works
Activation is achieved by rupturing the internal water sachet to trigger a urea crystal reaction and rapid cooling. Local cold application provides analgesia, reduces local blood flow and oedema, and slows nerve conduction and cellular metabolism at the injury site.

Indications

• Acute soft tissue injuries (sprains, strains)
• Contusions, swelling from minor impacts and bumps
• Headache and localized pain relief

Contraindications

• Do NOT use on infants, young children, or persons unable to remove the pack unaided
• Do NOT use on patients with impaired sensation to cold
• Do NOT apply to open wounds, damaged or infected skin
• Do NOT use on persons with known hypersensitivity to the device components (contains urea)

Precautions

• Do NOT apply pack directly to skin; always wrap in cloth or protective sleeve to avoid freeze burns
• Do NOT refrigerate or freeze; store at room temperature
• Use under adult supervision and keep out of reach of children
• Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have neurological or circulatory disorders, diabetes, cold sensitivity, dermatitis, eczema, or if pregnant
• Discontinue if discomfort or adverse reaction occurs
• Do NOT strike, puncture, or stand on the pack
• If contents are ingested, drink water and seek medical advice
• If contents contact skin or eyes, rinse with water and seek medical advice if symptoms persist

How to use

• Locate and squeeze the internal water sachet until it ruptures
• Shake the pack vigorously until the contents become ice cold
• Wrap the pack in a cloth or protective sleeve before applying to the skin
• Apply for short intervals up to 30 minutes and allow skin to return to normal temperature between applications
• No refrigeration required prior to activation
• After use, dispose with household waste
