Incifilm Iodine Incise Drape is a yellowish coloured, transparent, adhesive Polyurethare film whichallows the skin to breath, preventing moisture build-up under the drape. As a result adheres to the surrounding skin throughout long surgical operations and more importantly, right up to the wound edge. The adhesive used contains PVP-iodine, providing continuous broad spectrum antimicrobial activity, and a superior adhesion to the skin and wound edge. Indications – The indications of use of the Sterile Theatre Incise Drapes with Povidone -Iodine can include in surgeries such as: Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Major Abdominal, Plastic Surgery, Open Heart and Thoracic. – This is intended for external use only. Contraindications – Do not use on patient with known sensitivity to iodine or one of the other components. – Contraindicated for children and during pregnancy. – Systemic toxicity may expect for larger size. Precautions – Maximum duration of use is <24 Hours – Do not Overstretch the drape during application. – Do not Defibrillate through the drape.
