Introduction
Ureteral stent, also called Double-J stent, J-shaped catheter or ureteric drainage tube, is a commonly used urological catheter for urine drainage, ureteral support and prevention of postoperative strictures.

Indications
Placed between the renal pelvis and the bladder to support and drain the ureter. Intended indwelling time is less than 30 days.
