OverviewThe patented QHeart® Sensor combines a pre-positioned, pre-connected 10-electrode strip with the PCA 500 system to enable medical‑standard 12‑lead ECG recordings outside clinical settings. The design improves placement consistency and reduces preparation and procedure time while supporting reliable serial comparisons.
Powerful Features- Time saving: Reduces lead placement time by up to 70% and overall procedure time by ~30%.
- Easy & Simple: Minimal training required; visual cues reduce lead reversal and misplacement errors.
- Lower infection risk: Single-use electrode strips minimize cross-contamination.
- Consistency: Standardized placement enables accurate serial ECG comparisons.
Patented pre-positioned electrodes- Simplifies chest and limb lead placement with an integrated electrode strip.
- Strong adhesion and reliable tracing with latex-free, allergy-tested hydrogel.
- AHA & IEC compliant.
- Available in multiple pediatric and adult sizes for precise fit (adult sizes: S, M, L, XL).
- Designed for use by untrained patients using intuitive visual cues to ensure correct placement.
- Preparation time can be reduced by up to 70% versus traditional 12-lead setups.
How to place the QHeart® SensorWith the adhesive side against the patient, position the Blue Box at the mid-chest level between the nipples. Wrap the tail of the strip around the left side of the chest so the Red Arrow points to the left nipple and the strip end rests under the left axilla. Apply limb electrodes following the Left Arm, Right Arm and Left Leg marks.
Additional product notes- PCA 500 integrates advanced data processing to optimize signal quality and reduce motion artifacts.
- Skin preparation: chest should be clean, dry and free of lotions; shaving may be required for dense chest hair.
- Patient positioning: rest ≥5 minutes before recording; men may sit reclined; women are advised to lie supine with assistance for placement if needed.
- Electrode usage: single-use strips; hydrogel performance may degrade >24 hours after opening the package.
- Pacemaker compatibility: PCA 500 detects pacemakers and does not interfere with pacemaker function or ECG quality.
- Data export: ECGs downloadable as PDF from the cloud Dashboard; PDFs can be uploaded to most EMR/EHR systems.
- Sizing guidance: multiple adult and pediatric sizes available; use sizing guide to select correct strip per patient.
FAQ (selected)- How to reduce noise and artifacts? PCA 500 combines pre-positioned electrodes and signal processing to improve skin contact and minimize motion artifacts.
- What is a medical ECG? An electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) records the heart's electrical activity and is used to detect cardiac conditions.
- When should patients clean the recorder? Clean gently before each use; do not immerse in water.
- How should patients clean the recorder? Wipe with a soft cloth dampened with lukewarm soapy water or a mild cleaner; avoid immersion.
- What training is required? PCA 500 is designed so people without medical training can perform a medical-standard 12-lead ECG using the visual placement cues.
