Working Principle
During X-ray exposure, the primary beam passes through the patient while some photons are scattered. The grid is composed of lead absorber strips and low-attenuation interspace material. Primary X-rays aligned with the grid channels pass through; scattered rays strike the absorber strips and are attenuated, reducing scatter and enhancing image definition for radiographic diagnosis.
