The animal blue light exposure system produced by Tow-Int Tech is specifically designed for animal retinal injury modeling. It can provide a blue light exposure environment with stable and adjustable brightness. It provides the standard blue-purple light source, LED light board, 400-435nm wavelength, and adjustable light intensity of 0-35000klux.
Blue light irradiation can cause damage to retinal cells, leading to decreased vision or even loss. Shortwave blue light with wavelengths between 400 and 460 nanometers poses the greatest threat to the retina. At the 2010 International Optical Association Annual Conference, the world’s top optical experts unanimously pointed out that shortwave blue light has extremely high energy and can penetrate the lens directly to the retina. Blue light irradiation on the retina produces free radicals, which can cause the decline of retinal pigment epithelial cells. The decline of epithelial cells can lead to a lack of nutrients in photosensitive cells, resulting in vision damage, which is irreversible.
