Description

Overview
The latest ICU door in the ProCare™ Series, engineered to deliver the industry’s largest clear door opening for a telescoping 3-panel system. Provides 56.8 in of clearance on an 8 ft (96 in) package width in the manual model; the automatic ProCare™ 8500A achieves 55.7 in CDO for an 8 ft telescoping 3-panel ICU door. Available in manual or fully automatic configuration with touchless activation and Assisted Manual Operation Technology that reduces manual sliding effort up to three times.

Key Benefits
  • Maximum maneuverability: Wide clear door opening (CDO) improves patient and equipment movement in ICU environments.
  • Industry-leading openings: Widest CDO for a three-panel telescoping ICU door in its class — 56.8 in CDO for an 8 ft manual package (maximum CDO up to 72.5 in on larger frames).
  • Cohesive corridor aesthetics: Shared shortened header between 8500 and 8500A for consistent appearance when mixing manual and automatic doors.
  • Low-profile header: 4 1/8 in nominal header height to maximize vertical clearance.
  • Retrofit-ready: Replace older manual ICU doors with modern automatic systems without reducing vertical CDO.

The ProCare™ Difference
  • Smooth & trackless operation: Synchronized moving panels on a fully trackless system prevent slamming and bounce-back for quieter, smoother function.
  • Catch-free handles: Contoured handles minimize snag risk to IV lines and transport equipment.
  • Instant breakout: Controlled breakaway and return with an instant utility breakout button for safe patient transfer.
  • Infection control (8500A): Touchless activation and overhead sensors (approx. 2 ft detection) help reduce contact points; Clean Room Certified.

Add-Ons & Accessories
  • Privacy glass & integrated blinds
  • Smoke and draft seals
