Description

Detailed and accurate temperature profile for both short and long term studies. Minimally invasive and easy to implant. Ideal for use in studies on small captive and free-ranging animals where an accurate and detailed temperature profile is needed. Key features Minimally invasive and simple to implant Small size (3.3g) and long battery life – up to 3 years Stress-free measurements Detailed and accurate temperature profile, 0-50°C Guaranteed accuracy and performance Minimally invasive and simple to implant The logger probe is hermetically sealed and made from biocompatible housing, ceramic and epoxy, and is designed for simple implantation and retrieval. The unique ceramic housing guarantees biocompatibility. Application The logger is ideal for a variety of studies on both free-ranging and captive animals where a detailed temperature profile is needed, including for baseline measurements, measuring immune response to infection, testing vaccine efficacy and safety pharmacology and measuring physiological changes and circadian rhythm. Stress-free measurements As the data logger measures temperature automatically it is especially useful when a comprehensive data set throughout the research is needed with no disturbance to the animal. Detailed and accurate temperature profile Due to its long battery life, the logger can be used for long-term, as well as short-term studies with short intervals, down to once every second. This gives a detailed and wide temperature profile, either standard 5-45°C or extended in the range of 0-50°C. Due to this wide temperature range, the logger is ideal for torpor, hibernation and hypothermia studies.
