The device has no external wires, making it especially simple to implant. Available with two or three sensors: activity and temperature, or activity, heart rate, and temperature.Leadless ECG Derived Heart Rate: Heart rate is derived from a leadless single-channel ECG. Electrodes are part of the housing, making implantation easy. The logger takes burst ECG measurements at set intervals and calculates mean heart rate for each recording. Each burst is graded with a QI (quality index) accessible in the application software.Overview of Changes in Animal Activity Over Time: Measures acceleration-derived activity, allowing monitoring of changes in animal activity over time.
