Description

THE SINTESY.EAGLE.SI20 module is a medical device used to control alarms in medical gas distribution systems. It complies with Directive 93/42/EC and 2007/47/EC, identified in Class lib according to the requirements of Annex IX, rule 9 and it meets also the requirements in the standard EN7396-1. Nine inputs, normally connected to pressure switches, are opto-isolated in order to guarantee high immunity to noise. The module S120-3, used for controlling the status of valves (open/close) accepts both inductive sensors type NAMUR and standard clean contacts. Nine outputs are used for remote alarms and they copy the signals on each single input. Each output can drive up to 40 mA for a total of 350 mA available on all outputs. An additional cumulative alarm output has 0V if all inputs are in regular status; it has +24V= if at least one input is in alarm condition (open contact). The cumulative alarm is also available with relay NC / NO. The front panel has the acoustic and visual signals complying with EN60601-1-8. A yellow led to indicate a medium priority alarm, a red led to indicate an alarm of high priority and an acoustic emitter that can be silenced by the operator for a programmable time (max 15 minutes). The S120 can operate as stand-alone device or as part of a network of other modules connected on a RS485 bus. Through this communications port, the S120 can be controlled using a supervisory system SINTESY.eagle® that, through a synoptic diagram, displays the status of all sensors of the plant. The S120 can also be connected to the supervisor SINTESY S200.smart that has a color LCD with touch screen
