The MASTERPULS® icon is a premium radial shock wave therapy device (Deep R-SW) featuring HF Burst Mode, increased treatment depth and integrated vibration therapy (V-ACTOR®) designed for regenerative pain therapy, myofascial applications and to close the therapeutic gap between conventional radial ESWT and focused ESWT.

Workstation & user experience

HF Burst Mode
HF Burst Mode is a high-frequency, high-energy burst sequence (50 Hz) developed for intensive treatments requiring deep-tissue action. Key application areas include intensive treatment of muscle trigger points and fascia in athletes, shortened treatments for pain-sensitive patients, muscle stiffening due to overstrain or stress, and deep trigger/acupuncture points.

Deep R-SW & extended intensity
The MASTERPULS® icon provides enhanced deep-tissue action (Deep R-SW) and an extended intensity range (performance +30%) via the Endurance handpiece, enabling treatment of deeper tissue zones such as myotendinous junctions and scar tissue and closing the gap toward focused shock wave therapy.

Transmitters & accessories
Individual transmitters are used for treatment safety and adaptability: radial transmitters for standard indications; PERI-ACTOR transmitters specifically adapted for fascia therapy (Swart/Di Maio shapes and materials); SPINE-ACTOR transmitters (Double Tip) for paravertebral and spinal musculature. Features include automatic transmitter recognition via integrated RFID and a Quick-Lock mechanism for fast transmitter changes.

V-ACTOR HS high-speed handpiece (1–100 Hz)
The V-ACTOR HS supports vibration therapy up to 100 Hz to promote resonance vibrations, microcirculation and deep massage effect. Frequency ranges and intended effects:

• Low frequencies (1 – 35 Hz): relax and activate neuromuscular system and local metabolism
• Medium frequencies (36 – 50 Hz): may trigger tonic vibration reflex, useful for tone reduction (spasticity, tense tissue)

User interface & documentation
Clear, easy-read user interface displays intensity, pulse rate and frequency; countdown and treatment timer; patient history stores all treatment reports; an indication library provides recommended protocols for 18 indications. The treatment report documents which transmitter was used, average parameters, total and active treatment time and VAS pain development across sessions to support documentation and observational studies.
