Description

Description
Swing-Band® suburethral sling designed for the surgical treatment of female stress urinary incontinence. Implantable knitted polypropylene (PP) monofilament sling available in two porosity/weight variants.

Variants
  • SB3 Ultralight
  • SB4 Light

Key features
  • Suburethral reinforcement made of knitted Polypropylene (PP) monofilament.
  • Easy passage and tension adjustment of the sling.
  • Protective introducer tube for safe implantation.
  • Immediate primary fixation after placement.
  • Compatible with single-use or reusable instrumentation.

Surgical technique (extracts)
  • Place a urinary catheter prior to the procedure.
  • Make a midline vaginal incision under the urethra and perform limited dissection to the ischiopubic rami bilaterally.
  • Advance the introducer guide until contact with the ischiopubic ramus.
  • Introduce the needle IN-OUT or OUT-IN according to the chosen approach and recover the traction suture at the skin exit.
  • Position the protective tube close to the vaginal incision and pass the sling through the obturator foramen for transobturator approach if indicated.
  • Adjust sling tension with the catheter in place; an appropriate tension allows the tip of scissors to pass between sling and urethra.
  • Trim sling arms at skin level and close incisions; repeat procedure contralaterally when required.
