The Systec VX-Series are top-loading vertical laboratory autoclaves offered in eight sizes with chamber nominal volumes from 40 to 150 liters, designed to provide a small footprint with high chamber capacity for efficient loading of standard media bottles and Erlenmeyer flasks. The series supports validated sterilization tasks and can be configured with numerous options for process optimization, documentation and safety.

Overview of standard capabilities and functions

• Integrated, separate steam generator (integrated into housing but separated from sterilization chamber) enabling fast heat-up (empty chamber to 121 °C in ~10 minutes) and improved ventilation; steam condensing (PT-100-regulated) for condensate handling.
• Housing, support frame and pressure vessel made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel; pressure vessel specifically stainless steel 1.4404 (AISI 316L).
• Standard temperature and pressure range up to 140 °C and 4 bar absolute pressure; optional extension to 150 °C / 5 bar available (retrofittable with adapted safety/control components).
• Touch-screen control option (5.7 inch) supporting numeric/graphical process display and up to 100 user-configurable sterilization programs (7 pre-defined standard programs included).
• Advanced safety: automatic circumferential door locking with heat-resistant silicone seal, door locks controlled by interior temperature and only releases after safe depressurization; adjustable automatic door opening at end of program.
• Extensive process features: calculation of F0 value, special programs (e.g. Durham tubes), special destructive-sterilization program with fractional heating, temperature holding for liquids after program end.

Options and process-optimization accessories

• Rapid cooling systems (multiple methods): mantle cooling with cooling water (with or without support pressure), cooling with ambient air ventilation, spray cooling with recirculated sterile water and support pressure.
• Radial ventilator and Ultracooler (mounted in door) to accelerate cooling and reduce cooling times significantly (Ultracooler + mantle cooling + ventilator can reduce cooling times by up to ~90% depending on load).
• Vacuum system for validated sterilization of solids and waste in disposal bags (fractionated pre-vacuum), plus Superdry deep-vacuum drying for solids (only with vacuum system).
• Exhaust air filtration and condensate inactivation (cartridge with PTFE membrane 0.2 μm) for safe sterilization of hazardous biological substances.
• Options for documentation and compliance: integrated printer, Save to Folder (FTP/SFTP), Advanced CFR 21 Part 11 including AuditTrail and electronic signatures.
