Introduction
Water activity meter HTY-AW01-MC is based on the mirror condensation dew point method. It is used in pharmaceutical, food, cosmetics and related industries to determine and control microbial risk factors by measuring water activity (aw).

Features
  • Working principle: The mirror in the sample chamber is cooled until condensation appears; the mirror temperature at condensation is recorded as the dew point. Saturated vapor pressure (P) is obtained from tables and divided by the saturated vapor pressure of pure water (P0) to calculate water activity (aw = P / P0).
  • Mirror condensation method: Traceable to national/international primary methods; referenced by USP <1112>.
