Konix Sterile Water with Glycerin Glycerine water is used to inflate the retention balloons in Foley-type urinary catheters to securely hold them in place within the body. Glycerine-water mixtures are particularly useful for long-term catheterisation as they reduce fluid loss from the balloon. Directions for Use: Wash your hands and open the pouch containing KONIX Sterile Water with Glycerin. Before use, visually inspect each pre-filled syringe for clarity, discoloration, or leakage. Do not use the syringe if any of these conditions are observed. Remove the syringe cap, hold the syringe with the tip facing upward, and gently press the plunger to expel any air. Attach the syringe tip to the inflation lumen of the Foley catheter. Inflate the Foley catheter balloon using the appropriate volume.
