Intended use: The TianLong Salmonella DNA Detection Kit is intended for the qualitative detection of Salmonella nucleic acid by Real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (Real-time PCR) method. The test is designed to detect DNA from Salmonella in specimens such as human rectal swab sample or human stool sample. The potential candidate personnel to be tested could include, but are not limited to patients with symptoms of infection who are suspected of Salmonella by healthcare providers, or persons with no symptoms from a population for screening test confirmation or exclusion of Salmonella infection or Salmonella carriage status. Results from the test are for the identification of Salmonella DNA existence in samples tested. The Salmonella DNA is mostly often detectable in human rectal swab samples or human stool samples collected during the acute phase of infection.
