The JJW Company was founded in 1989 by quality and reliability specialists from the Polish Academy of Sciences. Therefore the quality and innovation were always at the heart of the company’s culture and deeply embedded in its products. The company is located just outside of Warsaw, in Konstancin-Jeziorna - the famous Polish recreation & spa village.

To offer customers only the best quality socks, JJW has built cutting-edge manufacturing facilities. Only the best quality yarns are used in the production process, including natural and synthetic ones, which have unique properties not possessed by natural yarns.

JJW specializes in medical and sports socks. The design and testing process involves active participation of medical and sports institutions, patients and professional sports people. All socks manufactured in JJW have unique antibacterial and antifungal properties. These effects are achieved through the use of a special finish under the license of the Swiss company Sanitized® or thanks to Silver or Zink contained in the yarn.

Medical socks are registered for EU as medical devices so have the CE mark.

Antibacterial, antifungal and anti-odour properties, with high resistance to washing, are achieved in three ways:

- treating sock fibres with an antibacterial, antifungal and anti-odour finish under the license of a Swiss company Sanitized®. This license can only be granted to a producer guaranteeing the best quality of technological process.

- the use of special yarn with content of the zinc oxide, which has antibacterial, antifungal and anti-odour properties and is widely used in medicine and cosmetics;

- the use of special yarn with content of the silver, which has been known for centuries to be antibacterial, antifungal and anti-odour.

The premium quality of medical socks manufactured in JJW is a result of a special care taken from the design stage, selection of the best yarns and other components, advanced manufacturing technology. More specifically, the quality of the socks results from the following factors:

DESIGN

Biological and mechanical functionality of socks were analyzed on the basis of multidisciplinary, medical and textile, research results, tested and accepted by patients and medical organizations such as medical universities.

YARNS

We use only highest-quality yarns: natural – combed cotton, merino wool, bamboo and modern SeaCell® yarn containing an extract from sea algae and Zink Oxide, and synthetic yarns such as Prolen® Siltex containing Silver ions and Lycra® (elastane) ensuring the highest elasticity of socks.

MANUFACTURE

Thanks to a most modern production technology which is monitored at all stages, our socks are perfectly finished, comfortable and durable. All socks are linked seamlessly. The socks also undergo decatising, what means they will not shrink in the wash.

HEALTHY PROPERTIES

Antibacterial and antifungal properties built into sock fibres under the license of the Swiss company Sanitized® or the Silver ions or Zink Oxide contained in the yarn ensure the exceptional hygiene and no unpleasant odours during use. The proper construction of socks, including application of the modern Lycra® fibre, ensures a non-compressing fit: our socks do not impair blood circulation, but still stay up and firmly grip the leg.

The unique antimicrobial solution provides the socks with effective antibacterial and antifungal functions. DEO in their names is not accidental word because the socks also have properties of the odourless deodorant - preventing the unpleasant smell while wearing them. These wash-resistant properties have been achieved with two ways:

Firstly, by treating sock fibres with an antibacterial, antifungal and anti-odour finish under the license of a Swiss company Sanitized®. The license can only be granted to a producer guaranteeing the best quality of technological process. Each kind of socks having the properties described above is marked with Sanitized® logo.

The second solution consists in using special yarns with content of the Silver ions or Zink Oxide which reduce the microbe growth in the fabric and hence inhibit microbe growth on the skin beyond the natural level, ensuring a long-lasting anti-microbial and anti-odour effect.

The above prophylactic properties of the medical socks presented arise from the following effects:
• protection of the foot skin structure – that is external, physiologically active
“coating” of the foot tissues. The medical socks make the foot skin more resistant to mechanical, thermal, and toxic microinjuries;
• supporting the physiological thermal regulation of the feet relying on the regulation of the blood flow in the subcutaneous capillary plexuses, as well as sweating and sweat evaporation.
