We (Lightguide) are the world’s leading optical fiber production lab with operations in Germany, China, Latvia, the US and Belarus.

Lightguide produces custom-made silica/silica step index multimode fibers that can be used from deep UV to NIR. Our core business is the production of optical fiber for medical, industrial and scientific applications. We continuously improves the precision of fiber drawing process.

We have achieved fiber as low tolerance as 0.5%. Moreover, we have developed rectangle fused bundle technology and bundle fusing without quartz tube.

Products

Medical products

Lightguide medical products are used in laser surgeries in urology, phlebology, proctology, dermatology, etc. The most popular medical products include hemorrhoid probes (proctology), fistula probes (proctology), bare fiber, tapered bare fiber (urology and general surgery) and Saturn side fiber (radial fiber for vascular surgery). Lightguide fiber probes have up to 98% transmission rates. Custom design is also available.

Industrial products

Our industrial products are often used as components in very complex equipment for countless applications, such as: Semiconductor industry, Analytical instruments, UV Curing, Optical Sensors, Laser delivery, Quality control, Process analysis. Lightguide design and produce value added custom-made silica/silica step index fibers and custom-made fiber assemblies (bundles, cables etc). Among our achievements are patenting bundle fusing technology 20 years ago and now having developed rectangle fused bundle technology and bundle fusing without quartz tube for very high transmission rates.
