MINERVE

A Brief History…

Founded in 1953 under the name MINERVE Médical, the company has remained true to its original mission of designing, manufacturing, and distributing medical equipment.

Initially active in both human and veterinary medicine, the company gradually specialized in the veterinary field. This strategic focus led to its integration into the Animal Health division of the SANOFI Group in 1980.

In the early 1990s, as economic diversification slowed, the SANOFI Group refocused its activities on its core pharmaceutical businesses. In 1993, this strategic shift resulted in the divestment of its veterinary medical equipment division to one of the group’s associates.

This transition marked the creation of MINERVE Veterinary Equipment as it exists today. The company continues to focus on the design and manufacture of medical equipment for veterinary use. Its anesthesia and resuscitation division, dedicated to the medical research sector, is experiencing growing demand, leading to the development and market launch of innovative, high value-added products.
