Today, Monark Exercise is more focused than ever, with a clear mission: to develop and supply products under the Monark brand for testing, training, and rehabilitation.

Our History

A century has passed since the first Monark bicycle left the factory. Over time, Monark has become recognized worldwide for quality, durability, and accuracy. The first Monark ergometer with a pendulum system was developed in 1954 – a unique feature that remains a cornerstone of our reputation for reliable and verifiable measurements.

From the early years in Vansbro to today’s global market, Monark has continuously combined tradition with technological development. Our products are trusted in academia, healthcare, and elite sports, enabling users to measure, compare, and improve performance with confidence.
